Plug in a USB card reader

Any PC/SC-compatible reader works. Common models cost €15–25 and are available on Amazon or in computer shops.

First time only

macOS — open the .dmg, drag “Synkro eID Bridge” onto the Applications folder, then double-click it. The application is signed and notarised by Apple: no warning.
Windows — unzip the .zip, then double-click synkro-eid-bridge-win.exe. Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”: click More info, then Run anyway. The application is not signed yet, which is why this message appears. A black window opens: leave it open.

After that you will never have to do it again: from a patient record, Synkro opens the reader by itself.

How does it work? Once the 3 pieces are in place, open the “New patient” form in Synkro. The Scan eID card button activates automatically. Insert the patient’s card, click the button, the record fills in within seconds.

Synkro eID Bridge must stay open while you use Synkro.
